    If this is a deferred pension, then a transfer out  (provided that once transferred out you took no more than the PCLS ) should not affect your ability to continue in employment and continue to contribute to the DC Scheme?

    Or there are rules in place to prevent this?

    Yes, this would be the case as I understand it. I think if I went ahead with any transfer the plan would be to retire, or to leave my current company soon after and maybe do something at a later date for the missing 2 years NI contributions.

    Could you not take an income from your DC pension when you retire early? Rather than transfer the DB?
