False interest in my Car+Money Laundering from Abroad

Hi
Over the past two years when trying to sell my car online I not only get calls from companies offering to find people to buy my car for a fee of over £75.00 I also get people from Abroad emailing me offering to pay for my car and get it shipped back to their country. I'm told that once you have agreed a figure they then send a much larger amount of money and then ask you to put the remainder of the money in an account of their choice !
Have many other people been messed around with this sort of situation ?

Enough that it's fairly well publicised. But it's nothing to do with 'money laundering' (as you don't finish up with any!) ..... it's simply fraud. The excess payment into your account is fraudulent .... and will be countermanded after a few days.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
