Hello, I’m looking at Melton Mowbray BS’s fixed 2 yr product as it’s the lowest rate I can find for our 78% LTV. The next best seem to be Halifax at 2.9% so it’s a massive difference.
im told their current timelines are pretty bad and can’t guarantee to be done before the stamp duty holiday ends! Whereas Halifax are turning around in 10 days!?
Anyone currently in the process with them or had any experience during the pandemic?

I haven't placed a customer with Melton in memory, but their intermediary service levels currently state an average app to offer time of 28 days currently so that's probably a good ballpark to go with. But that doesn't seem bad enough to take you past the SDLT holiday deadline though.

I had two with Melton over the summer - blooming awful
neither had any questions from underwriters. Both were submitted in June and didn't offer until Sept1
