Looking for some help travelling Ipswich to Bath by train or possibly coach if they start up. Open to lots of changes etc
Looked it up and it says go Ipswich to Liverpool st to paddington to Bath.
Anybody on here know a better/cheaper way to go by public transport?

I presume you could go by coach via London Victoria but the journey time from Bath is currently showing as almost 4 hours whilst this is more than the complete journey by train.1

Best, fastest, most convenient and direct way is Liverpool St, Tube (Circle/Hammersmith & City) to Paddington, and on to Bath. Could be circa £27 one way if you choose your travel day and time wisely as an Advance ticket. Or a lot more if First Class open or you need to travel at a peak/most popular time.
National Express seem to be unable to take you from Ipswich to Bath... You may have more luck searching than I. I expect Covid issues with reduced no services at the moment?

When are you travelling? I looked at a random date in December on the Trainsplit site, and found fares starting at £22.30

The alternative to going via London is probably something like
Ipswich-
Peterborough
-Leicester-
Birmingham
-Bristol-
Bath.
That's a lot of changes!0 -
You can do Peterborough to Birmingham via Leicester direct (hourly service) so not quite such a lot.
