Best Value Champagne?

Options
Hi,

I'm organising a Christmas party and as prizes we need several cases of champagne.

What's the best value out there at the moment? Where offers good discounts for buying a case?

I need to be able to collect it somewhere near Manchester this week or get it delivered.

Anyone have any tips?

I think you'll find that good CAVA's are better than 'value' champagne.
You need to decide whether you want to impress with horrible champagne or nice CAVA if you want something cheap. May be worth considering ordering CAVA online at tesco with a voucher code. Try this link http://www.tesco.com/winestore/controller.aspx?more=y&Nr=70002&N=70032+60180&Ne=60177&catTitle=Special%20offers
Would be fantastic if you were claiming back on expenses and you could order several cases with several lots of 1000 point codes.
    Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j
Mortgages make money. Definitely don't wanabee mortgage free!

It's really good champagne too. I'm always looking out for when it's on offer. As good as any of the non-vintage brands and in my opinion, actually better than most. On Tesco Wine.

In the shop I think it's 9.99 per bottle which is still brilliant if you need it a shorter notice than delivery can provide.

Along those lines: French "cremants", such as "Cremant du Jura", may well be worth consideration. They are made like champagne, taste like champagne, but must not be called champagne because they are not from the Champagne region of France. And they are considerably cheaper, from £4.99 upwards.

Aldi's Philippe Michelle's "Cremant du Jura" (I think it's £5.99 a bottle) regularly scores very highly in independent newspaper and magazine surveys of alternatives to champagne.
  • i read something in the newspaper the other day and they are selling chjampagne at around £25.00 in ASDA but they reckon you cant get it cheaper anywhere else plus up the west end they reckon it sells for around £220 so well worth a look the only problem is i cant remember the name lol
