Debt Pre-Legal Action letter

Hello,
I remember seeing in the forum links to what a proper pre-legal action letter looks like (with sample letters) but I cannot find them now. Does anybody have the link? It's in this website.
Also, I got the usual letter from Lowell Solicitors entitled Pre-Legal Assessment.
Then it says: If we do not hear from you, we will proceed with our assessment to decide whether to take legal action.
There are no calculations, deadline, accompanying evidence documents, where the debt comes from or anything
Does this letter follow the protocol of a Pre-Legal action? Or is it a device they use to make people believe that this is the actual Pre-action letter following the protocol?
Thanks

No, thats just a scare letter to get you to contact them, a Letter Before Action is a questionaire type document with a number of tick boxes, and comes with a time limit of 30 days to complete and submit, it is designed so that you and your creditor come to an amicable arrangement without the need to proceed to court. They are basically "stirring the pot" or "tightening the screws" in the hope of getting a reaction from you.I assume you have thus far, not asked Lowell to provide evidence of their claim against you ?If not you should, or wait for the LBA, as that is a part of that process also.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
