HSBC mortgage valuation - how long to expect results

Hi, 
HSBC has booked a mortgage valuation for this Wednesday 25th on a house we're buying. We've booked our own homebuyers survey to be done on the 3rd of December.

Has anyone just gone through the process who could advise how long it took for HSBC to come back with results of their valuation? We don't want to pay for our own survey if the house for some reason is down-valued but equally there is a 3-4 week wait on surveys to be booked at the moment in our area.

We had a full mortgage offer on a different house previously at £50k more than this one (our seller pulled out, they did a desktop valuation), so it should just be the valuation that needs doing.

Hi wls52, our valuation was on 6/11 (friday), hsbc got it back on the Tuesday 10/11 and it was approved (ours was a physical). There is another thread called HSBC mortgage timelines that shows everyone elses timeline..

We also applied with HSBC. The valuation was done on Monday 16th and we got our offer on Wednesday 18th.

We got our mortgage offer literally the next day after our valuation.

Just thought I'd update that we got our full mortgage offer today, one day after the valuation was done

Congrats @wls52!! It’s such a relief once you get the offer especially at the moment.. HSBC seem to be ok atm for turnaround times compared to other high st banks!
