Advice on LCD purchase please

Hi

I'm in the market for a new tv and seen a local shop
with a 42" LG plasma with freeview 1010i etc seemed like a good job for £699 my query is should I buy now and have foe X-mas or wait till
the
sales will they get much cheeper in sales?

I would wait for the xmas sales. Many shops do big discounts before xmas but even bigger ones after!

700 quid sounds a lot...I bought a Sony Bravia 32 inch earlier this year for 400. A friend's got an LG 42inch LCD, and to me the white colours don't look as well defined as on the Sony, but it's a beautiful looking TV, and more aesthetically pleasing when switched off than the Sony.

I'd keep an eye on here and also other such sites (I saw mine on another well known deal site) and there's bound to be a good bargain soon.
