60+ Oyster card after retirement

Would there be a grace period on a 60+ Oyster card after SPA. I ask as the application for a Freedom pass is late in coming and there will be a delay in obtaining it.

    What's 'SPA'?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

In which case I wouldn't have thought so.  The expiry date on the 60+ Oystercard is the expiry date.  It wouldn't work beyond the date on it unless you can get the date extended.

There wasn't with mine. The council took 6 weeks to produce my freedom pass so I had to pay for many hospital visits meantime.
