10 yr fixed rate deals

What's the view on long term fixed rate deals (i.e. 10yrs or longer) - are people expecting deals to be pulled & replaced with slightly higher rates in the short term due to the credit crunch or have the long term swap rates been stable more or less recently?
I would like to remortgage to a fixed deal, but want to wait until January when there is the possibility of a bonus arriving which I would use for a lump sum overpayment before fixing.
I'm planning to go with Norwich & Peterborough 10yr @ 5.58% - what's the chance of that deal still being available in January?
Thanks.
