                    Hello all
I have vitality Health insurance and saw I could get a discount at David Lloyd. I was a member of David Lloyd for a short time in the past but got rid of it due to personal circumstances. Unfortunately, the closest club to be that provides the discount is Peterborough...which is an hour's drive. If I remember correctly the top level of membership allowed you to visit any club...so as a workaround could I start my membership at the Peterborough club then just got the one near to me xD. Any insight into this would be great!

Why didn't you like David Lloyd? Well, that is, is it bad sanitation and old equipment, rude staff or some kind of personal prejudice, but in fact the sports club is quite good? It seems to me that there will not be an ideal sports club, you will not find if you are inclined to find fault with trifles. Convenience guides my choice, it is more convenient for me near home. If there is some kind of inconvenient layout of the building, it does not bother me. Saving time on travel is more important to me.

Lols to the response to the OPs question by Kaybur...
I was interested in the response to the OPs actual question too. I have a new Blaze fitness studio opening up and it is £20 per class.... but it is free if you have a David Lloyd membership. The nearest David Lloyd which is part of the Vitality programme is many many miles away so I guess I was wondering whether I could join the branch further away and use it to go to the branch near me and also use it to visit the Blaze studio too. Anyone done something similar....?

Interested in this workaround too and wonder if anyone else is doing it?
The vitality discount is only offered for another Gym in this area and I was thinking of the same workaround - join the discounted David Lloyd under vitality and use the nearest one in my area. (David Lloyds mentions that their members can use any gym).0 -

I don't know how David Lloyd work, but I am a member of Nuffield Health and they have similar price variations between different centres, but you then get a national membership and can go to any club in the same or lower band. At Nuffield Health, they track your usage and your "home" centre has to be the one you visit the most. This obviously stops the idea of joining a lower cost centre and then using another. I suspect that all other national gym chains operate a similar process.Ciarian said:Hello all
