HSBC - Application to offer in 24 hours

Evening all,
Thought I'd post this here in case anybody else was looking for a lender who (seem to be) turning applications around very quickly at the minute.
After much 'umming and erring' about lenders/products, applied online through HSBC yesterday at midday (no assistance application - had done plenty of research prior). Application took approximately one hour.
Access to document upload website sent at around 4pm yesterday, requesting one pay slip.
They sent a text today confirming application had been approved, subject to valuation at approximately 3pm.
Thought this might have been a trickier application, as wife is currently on maternity leave and we are relocating cities and therefore, she had to go down as a named dependent.
Overall, very happy with the outcome. Certainly much easier than the first time around.

That's not a formal offer, that's just your application being approved. Different things.0

Most lenders approve subject to valuation you are far from your offer yet.0

Took Halifax the same length of time to approve subject to valuation for me. But then took another two weeks to get the valuation done, and another week for the offer to arrive by post.0

Apologies. The wording in the title was not great. I should not have said 'Offer' and put 'approved subject to valuation' instead, as you have all rightly pointed out.
As an update. Valuation took place yesterday morning and I received an offer on the online portal at 16:53. So still pretty fast.
In summary:
17/11 - application completed online (no assistance). Email requesting document sent that working day.
18/11 - 'offer subject to valuation' text message received.
25/11 - valuation completed AM. Message on online portal confirming offer with copy of offer document.
26/11 - text message and email containing full mortgage offer document.
So that's 8 working days. Still stand by the fact that, if you are looking for someone who appears to be processing applications quickly in this current climate, then HSBC are definitely worth a look.2 -
