I suspect I need to count the little critters again when I'm less tired, as I seem to end up with a different elf-total every time I watch it! Any suggestions much appreciated!

Edit: I think I agree with One-Eye that it's nine. Assuming the reappearance of the elf with a megaphone at the end doesn't count.39
