Will having a second job automatically change my tax code?

Hi, I have a full time job and have the opportunity to do some other work also, some shifts with an agency here and there. Now my tax code is the most popular one 1250L, I was wondering would that change when I do the part time shifts also, would I start paying more tax on my full time job, and then be taxed at a bigger rate at the casual shifts also?
Thank you, all the best.
Thank you, all the best.

Probably not but without any income details difficult to say for certain.
You would normally stay on 1250L at your existing job and have a BR (basic rate) tax code at the new job so you would pay 20% on all taxable earnings from the new job.
Will be different if your existing job pays less than £12,500 or the two combined are more than £50,000.1 -
Thanks, my job pays more than £12500 and both together won't go over £50000. If I don't start paying more tax and nothing changes on my full time job that's not too bad.Dazed_and_C0nfused said:Probably not but without any income details difficult to say for certain.

Just make sure you complete a new starter declaration for your new employer and sign/tick statement C.
That should make sure they use the BR code straight away and there will be no impact on your full time job.1
