The story of 3 laptop orders from Wish. However in each case I did get a full refund via Paypal

In each case the order was for a 14.1inch Laptop Windows 10 8GB/256GB

(1) Order placed 12 October.

Arrived in the UK on November 3. But delivered to an address in Oxford UK in error.

(2) Order Placed 26 October.

Delivered to an address in Los Angeles USA in error on 2 November.

(3) Order Placed 3 November.

Delivered this time to the correct address in the UK.

However what was sent was not a laptop but a 10.1inch netbook running Android 6.

Has anyone had any success in getting to their address in the UK  from Wish, a Laptop similar to what i ordered each time and with a price of less than £130.

Not that I particularly trust Trustpilot reviews but in this case I'd not touch this company with the proverbial bargepole

  • Oh for crying out loud. Alistair, stop it. Stop it now.

I’m sorry but the words ‘ buying a laptop’ and ‘Wish’ should not be used in the same paragraph. I have used Wish and wouldn’t even risk anything over £8 or so from them, OP have you seriously thought this through- if you are serious please do go and talk to someone with a bit more experience .

Ask them about import duty, taxes, rights to a return , what happens if item is faulty, then save up and buy from somewhere else.

Wish is generally cheap tat shipped (slowly) direct from China. It's fine for small tatty novelty items if you don't care about copyright/trademark infringement. I wouldn't buy a laptop from there.

    I do despair sometimes.

A simple search on Google brings a mountain of poor reviews for Wish.

Why would anyone take the risk ?

For the same reason people book flights with shonky 3rd party sellers.
They think they're getting a good deal.
