VR stock for PlayStation

Options
Hi everyone my grandson wants the PS4 Vr for Christmas but it's out of stock everywhere unless you want to pay a fortune. Does anyone know whether it should be back in and where will be the best price? Thanks I haven't got a clue about this

If you want to get it at a lower price, you might be best trying somewhere like CEX for second hand - at least you can look at the condition. Amazon do used units and they indicate the condition - good, like new etc. I've bought products from Amazon warehouse before and they've been as described. Got £100 off a projector because the box was damaged. You could try e-bay, but that comes with some risk. Check the sellers ratings before purchasing etc.
How old is your grandson? From memory, they aren't recommended for anyone under 14. He may also suffer from motion sickness when using it, so I'd ask if he's used a friends and found he could use it ok. Could be a waste of money if he uses it for a few days and then finds he can't stomach the motion sickness.
I've had mine for nearly 2 years and it is great, but then I'm a big kid going on 50 years old. The headset is the main unit - additional things would be the wand controllers, usually sold separately unless you get a bundle. These are expensive. You can use the PSVR without the wands so don't worry about getting them. He'll probably need a headphone set to get the full experience - he may already have some already for using ps4.
  • Thank you so much. I think I will have to get a used vr.

It says limited availability on the argos website. If you are on twitter try asking the ask playstation uk twitter if they know when it will be available.

VR is brilliant. My kids have it and I love joining in with them. Only downside is it's only 1 player at a time for most games
  • Having owned one for well over a year I'd say don't bother, you'll play it a few times and it'll become one of those useless under cupboard items you get from infomercials. Save your cash.
