Constructive Dismissal - redundancy?

just tell them the truth. it would explain why you left and that it was their fault and not yours.0

As previously stated, if the OP agreed a settlement there will almost certainly be a confidentiality clause and without admission of liability.AskAsk said:just tell them the truth. it would explain why you left and that it was their fault and not yours.
So, if the OP states "it was the former employer's fault and not hers" she may well be breaching the agreement and risk having to repay the settlement.
Even if there is not such an agreement (very unlikely) if I was the prospective employer I would, at the very least, want to try and hear the other side of the story.
Obviously if the OP has won a constructive dismissal claim at an employment tribunal she is not restricted in what she can say (providing it is true!) but she doesn't seem to want to answer that question.0 -
Being downgraded is more than enough reason for leaving.
I've never put reason for leaving on a CV. When discussing leaving at interviews I've been honest, confident when saying why, but also said a few good bits I took from that job and how they would transfer into the role I'm being interviewed for.
I've resigned, worked full notice and got a job after.
I've done a short notice period, spoke with HR and they agreed to end my contract.
Once I quit a well paid job, went back to the agency who put me in it, explained why (always be honest with agencies as they can help with how to word things at interviews) and they admitted the company had changed a lot (for the worse). They put me into a temp role which I loved and stayed for ages. Just as I was told by the company I was working in that the role was ending, I got offered a permanent job elsewhere within the company.
I know things are harder now, compared to last year, but do register with agencies, grab any temp work while applying for other jobs.
There's no need to make a big deal out of it, draw on the positives and it will all work out.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
As a few have mentioned, a payout doesn't mean redundancy.
Don't fabricate this.
But also, you don't really need to mention why you resigned.
If you say you were downgraded it may beg the question as to why.-1
