I'd be getting out my contract of employment and or/employee handbook pronto. They'll almost certainly be allowed to credit check you at any time (not just for a role change) and there are likely to be obligations to report this sort of adverse account conduct to them. You might get away with ignoring it, but if they find out and you've kept it quiet, I suspect you can kiss goodbye to your job.
At the very least I'd be looking to make repayment arrangements on these debts rather than crossing my fingers for them to go statute-barred. At least then if they find out you can show you've been trying to do the right thing. Right now your conduct reflects rather poorly on you.
I will be checking it but I think they do not randomly credit check as far as I am aware. Yes I will be looking to arrange terms with FF soon as I hope this doesn't come up during my work at all.
It is restricting me massively as I can pretty much increase my salary 50% by moving to another role but too scared to do it because of the credit checks.0 -

I do not think they conduct random credit checks as far as I am aware because I am not in the direct revenue generating role.
Situation would become so much easier if this was not the case as I could easily move into another role which would increase my salary by 50% but I am too scared to do it because of the credit checks.0 -
