Term Time Only role - how does pay work?

I have applied for a term time only role at a school. It is 21 hours a week and the salary/pay is as follows:
Grade 3: Points 2: £18,562 pro rata
I've used Salary Calculator and based on 37.5 being full time, I would take home £857.28 monthly working 21 hours, for 52 weeks I'm assuming.
Does anyone know how to work out what I would take home monthly if working term time only? Is it usually divided equally by 12 so I'd get paid monthly regardless of working or not?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah they’ll split your money over 12 months so you get paid equally each month.0

Your salary would be 21/37.5 x £18.562 so just under £10.4k pa (assuming the full-time job is 37.5 hours) because it is a part-time role.
However you are only paid that for term time which is, very roughly, 3/5ths of a year so you will get, very approximately £6.2k pa.0 -
You won't be paid for 52 weeks - it will probably be 38 or 39 weeks plus some holiday pay (something in the region of 5 weeks). So, in my county it would be worked out as ((39+5.6)/52)* (21/37) = Full Time Equivalent of 0.4868 or £9036 p.a., paid at £752 per month.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

When Mrs Mickey returned to work after maternity leave she arranged to only work 3 days per week and was paid monthly, as normal, but pro-rata’d to 3/5ths her salary. When schooling started she converted to ‘school hours’ working, meaning 9-3:30 during term times only, and the annual hours worked out to be the same so no change to 3/5ths pro-rata monthly salary.
It turned out to be a pretty much perfect arrangement as it meant no child-care was needed and both were able to enjoy the long school holidays together.0 -
yes, they would treat it as monthly pay so you would also get paid when you are not working0

As others have said you will get paid in equal instalments over the 12 months but
I would fully expect for you to be only paid for 38/39 weeks of the year rather than 52.1 -
Why not check with the school? It's not clear if they are saying that you are only paid during term times or are only required to work during term times.0

Term time only roles are paid as said above for about 36 to 39 weeks. The amount is then split over 12 months so you will receive pay in the summer holidays.
Depending on when you leave your job you could end up out of pocket.0
