Virgin lowered rates

We are currently in application stage and the valuation has taken place for a 85% LTV mortgage with Virgin, based on 3.32% and a £995 product fee (which we have paid).
Yesterday they lowered rates to 2.99% so has anyone experience of switching during the application phase to a better rate?

You can try asking the lender/broker to see if they can transfer you. Is there a product fee with the new rate?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Ask to switch the products. It should be fine, you may need to provide updated documents, but the broker or lender will tell you if anything is needed.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
