my bankruptcy is approved - some questions

as of a few days ago, i am bankrupt but I have some questions
I've not been phoned by anyone, the only communication has been by email. I've signed some forms digitally and sent them back. Is it feasible i won't even need a phone call interview? Is that how things can be sometimes?
I still get letters through the door from the likes of Cabbot and other so-called debt collection agencies, that the original credit card lenders have passed them over to. Shall i inform the OR about these agencies or will my status get filtered through to them from the original lender?
Is there anything else I can do to be proactive in preparation for my discharge? Can i start attempting to clean my credit file up now or is that something that needs to be done after discharge?

They will ring you at some point.
As for the letters, I assume you listed these debts in your petition anyway. If you want to be proactive you could send them a copy of your bankrupcy notice and tell them to stop pestering you, but all that will occur anyway when the OR finally gets going.
I wouldnt bothering worrying about credit files for a bit.1 -
Hi...just sit back now and relax.
The OR will contact all your creditors this can take about 6 weeks in normal times
If a creditor phones you..you could quote your BR no. Or simply ignore the calls.
No point in thinking about your credit files until about 3 months post discharge.
It's all out of hands now so please try to relax..easier said than done I appreciate that.
If the OR needs to have a telephone interview they will be in touch.
Simply get on with your life.1 -
Once I was bankrupt - I did send letters to those debt agencies that were the most annoying in the number of communications they were sending outlining the date, court and reference number. I know the OR does it as part of their process, but thought I'd speed things up a bit. The debt collector letters quickly stopped coming. Now's the time not to worry - you've done the worrying up until your bankruptcy. You'll likely get the phone call interview - and as long as you have a fairly straightforward case, it'll be a very straightforward call. Be honest, don't try to hide anything, they aren't there to judge you, just to gather the facts.2

I would say answer the calls, quote your BR number and they will leave you alone. The hardest part is over now.1

Totally agree with above....let the process run its course and relax0

Just remember majority of DCA calls are automated, and when you answer there`s no one there, just the autodialer. Its seldom productive speaking to them on the phone, as with all large organisations, the autodialer does the hard work, when the call handler catches up, they haven`t read your notes, so you have to do a groundhog day, and repeat yourself a few times.Once or twice is a laugh, but then you quickly get bored, much better to just ignore them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Surprisingly enough i got 2 emails back from them yesterday saying thanks for my BR order and they'll stop contacting me.
I think the lesson here is.. go the email route first.. and pick up the stragglers with the recorded letter0
