I keep checking Tesco competitions site few days a week. Loads of the competitions on site are added during the competition period and some of them after! Had a look yesteday and today one competition was added. With finish date of yesterday! The same case was with Walkers comp where the Nissan Navara was the main prize.
What are your thoughts about it? It does not seem fair. What happens with the prizes if no one enters?

It is annoying and seems to be happening more frequently.
https://www.tesco.com/zones/tesco-competitions is just the T&C page, and I have always assumed that the comp is promoted elsewhere such as in store with the products concerned. In fact I have just looked through the magazine and have found a couple of open comps that aren't on the T&C page (I will post them shortly), although the Comfort/Dettol comp was not in there. I will try and monitor future editions of the mag.1 -
Many thanks One-Eye. You do a great job. I will be looking around more careful while shopping0

The Tesco comps are advertised in multiple places, so they probably all get plenty of entries, even when the T&Cs don't appear online until after they have closed. They advertise them in-store (in various ways), in their magazine and on their website (in the online groceries section for people to see when booking an online shop for delivery) and that's why you'll see different keywords to text for the same competition (like KEYWORD1 KEYWORD2 KEYWORD3 KEYWORD4 KEYWORD5 etc.) written in the T&Cs. Each comp will only use certain keywords depending on how many different ways it's been advertised and it doesn't matter which keyword you use to enter, but they use them to try to track where entrants have seen the comp advertised (for example, 1 at the end is usually from online shopping, 2 at the end is usually from the magazine, 5 at the end is usually from an in-store banner).I saw the Dettol/Comfort comp advertised on their website (while looking at online shopping) a few weeks ago when it first opened, but I didn't post it to MSE because it required a £10 purchase, which is over the spend limit allowed on MSE1

I won £100 gift card on the Tesco/Tilda text comp. The gift card arrived with no credit on the card. There was a photo copy of instructions for activating the card but these were for the supplier (Tilda) not the recipient (Me). I have spoken to Tesco and e mailed the contact at Tilda but no resolution yet. There were 50 of these prizes so I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue?0
