Hello
I just wanted to share with you that I have now been debt free (apart from my mortgage) for two weeks, and even have some small savings. I have been in tens of thousands of pounds of credit card debt constantly for almost 30 years. So this is a big deal for me. I haven't been a regular contributor on here for a long time, but have fond memories of some of the challenges such as the 'sealed pot' and all of the support that the community gave me. Some of the things - using cashback sites (quidco) constantly moving 0% credit cards, always comparing prices before buying will stay with me for a long time. Although I don't plan on getting a credit card that isn't paid off in full every month ever again. I'd like to say that I've become debt free through sheer determination, but the reality is that the lockdown has curbed both my spending on travel and socialising and that's where the money came from. I do know that i'm in a very privileged position when so many people have lost their jobs recently and plan to donate more to our local foodbank now that I can. Anyway - I just wanted to share my news and thank everyone on here that shares their experiences / tips etc...
