CIS Tax Return Help

Hi all, my husband started in the Construction industry in Aug 2019, and is now needing to do is first Tax return  :# During the tax year he worked in employed work, Self employed CIS work and self employed but payed via PAYE. Is it just the Self Employed paid via CIS bit he needs to declare as self employed work on the tax return? Then does he put his own name for the company?? Also there's some info on a £1000 trading allowance. Anyone know how you input that into the form??
Thanks!

  • He needs to declare all taxable income for that tax year on the return.

How many sets of self employment pages is he completing?
  • So it's pulled in automatically the 3 companies he has worked for. Two companies he was employed with. One he was self employed part of the time via CIS and part PAYE, but still self employed. So it's showing all the work he has done and all the tax he has paid already. I assume that when you drill down into the company he was self employed via he needs to say that this was self employed work?? So confusing!
