Suseka97 said:That is good news for sure - but I would also want something in writing from PRA. So if you do not receive anything by the next time they call (assuming they do), you need to say that you want confirmation sent to you, as set out in the CCA request. You should note the sentence at the bottom of pg.1 in the letter you posted above - that they could transfer your information onto a subcontracted debt collection agency. So you want that UE letter for future reference.

If it were me I'd write and remind them of their obligations to respond in writing to the CCA request - but I'm a belt and braces sort of person.1

Update on yesterday's update. 😂😂
Another phonecall from PRA group tonight. (they obviously don't do communication well)
Young lady this time doing the same script as last night. Except this time no mention of paying this bill just the usual it's unenforceable.
I asked her if they could send me out a letter saying that the debt is unenforceable. She put me on hold, then came back and says yes that's not a problem and we'll be in touch again about the 2nd of February to see how we progress this. Aye no problem speak soon. 😂😂😂
Cheers guys 👍2 -

Thats what they sent me when i requested it, I said thats not what i asked for. I then got a letter from them saying they were waiting for the requested documents. that was nearly 4 years ago so ive never paid them a penny.0

One thing to note from this is that it underlines the reasons why it's best to keep everything of this nature to in writing. Phone calls may well "be recorded" but it's odd how often when they are needed there was a "problem with the equipment that day"! Getting everything in writing and refusing to speak on the phone from the start saves a lot of hassle down the line, and means that both sides have evidence of what is said. Debt collectors love phone calls because adding a tone of voice can be far more intimidating than the way they are legally allowed to phrase things - and if a complaint is made later they can claim that you misunderstood their meaning.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
