Free alternative to Championship Manager - football management game

I've always enjoyed playing online football management games such as Championship Manager and more recently Football Manager.

However, I've recently discovered there is an excellent online football management game called Xpert Eleven where you can play against other managers and it's completely free to play.

* Choose your own club name, stadium and logo
* Extensive tactics and formation
* Youth setup with ability to choose real player names
* Earn transfer income through sponsor activities
* Press and media involvement
* System generated random mailbox events which affect your team
* Pools coupon with chance to win additional funds if you guess correct results
* Full transfer system with thousands of players to buy and sell

I've created a league for members of this forum so hope some of you will be interested in joining up.

When you sign up to Xpert Eleven and your membership is activated click on the search tab on the left-hand column where you search for the league.

We are just about to play the final few matches of our first season. We currently have 64 active managers - all who are members of the MSE forum. Hi, I'd love to join but I can only get tinternet access when I come back from assignments eg for 2-3 days a week.
Is this possible or do I need to paly every day?

Thanks everyone.

We have 13 members now and hopefully will get the league kicked off next week. In the meantime all teams have been activated and we have the option to play friendlies, buy and sell in the transfer market, participate in sponsor activity and set player training regimes.

Hi guys,

To be honest you only have to log in 2 days a week to pick your players and tactics for your forthcoming match. I would say about 10-15 minutes a week is all it takes minimum.

We still have plenty of spaces available so if anyone reads this and is interested please feel free to join up. The details are in the first post.
