I have seen quite a few jade and rose quartz face rollers in shops.
Are they a gimmick?.

They are! I don't find any reason to buy face rollers. They are way to expensive and just a hype. Instead I would use my hand for massage or go to a salon.1

They look pretty but will do nothing your own fingers cannot do to massage facial products on to your face.

I'd say it's a gimmick - not clear what they are meant to do, but, as others have said your own hands would do just as well and not clutter up another drawer.
