Buying a house with Solar Panels, looking to transfer FiT payments over.

Hi,
I'm buying a house with a 4kW panel install on the roof, owned by the present owner and he receives the FiT payments. I have the MCS installation certificate from the install in September 2013 as part of the documents he's submitted.
I'm finding it hard to find out how to ensure the FiT payments transfer from the present owner to me; the panels are listed on the house contents form as being included, so that's not an issue, but I assume he has to somehow agree to transfer payments to me. His current provider is SSE, and I've found a form on their site that deals with FiT, but none of the options on there appear to cover transferring panel ownership and FiT payments over to me.
Can anyone advise how this is done? I've hard trouble getting the answer online
Thanks!

Leave it your solicitor0

Make sure it is part of the contract when you buy the house. Your solicitor should be able to do that for you. The existing owner needs to tell their FIT company that the panels are getting a new owner.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.2
