I need a new home office chair, can anyone suggest which bricks and mortar stores have a decent range I can try?

The number one priority is comfort which to a large degree is subjective so I'm looking for store recommendations rather than chairs as I want to sit in a chair before deciding if I will buy it. My last one was bought from Staples just before they went bust, I also remember trying IKEA at the time and didn't like any of them, I will give them a go again but none of the chairs on their website look particularly comfy to me.

Currys was one of the places I looked last time, they had lots on their website but hardly any instore, just checked their website and it looks like they're still the same. Also looked for local independent companies but they mainly seem to be either online only and/or ludicrously expensive.

I'll try Dunelm (didn't occur to me to look, I don't really think of them as a furniture shop) and The Range (never been in one in my life) though.

I often recommend going to a local second-hand office furniture dealer. They often have the best quality chairs available at an affordable price.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
  • At the moment no chance due to Covid lockdown rules, all those types of stores are not letting people try chairs out.

I can highly recommend Noblechairs, I bought this one at the start of lockdown for working at home, perfect chair, better than any I've ever used in an office.
