1. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

i. Entries are restricted to one entry per person, per day.

ii. 'Per day' refers to each calendar day, from 00:00 to 23:59 on the same date during the entry period (REFER to 3. ENTRY PERIOD).

iii. The only way to be in the draw to win a daily prize is:

a. Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/competitions/ or “the online competition page”

b. Online entry is free of charge.

2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

2.1 HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS (“the competition mechanic”)

i. Complete the competition entry form, which includes answering a multiple-choice question, on the online competition page during the entry period to be in the draw to win that day's prize.

2.2 HOW TO WIN

i. One winner per day will be selected by random electronic draw from all correct answers submitted on that calendar day.
ii. The winner will be contacted by a Bauer Media representative to claim their prize. If after 21 days the winner has not contacted Bauer Media to confirm their details, Bauer Media will select a new winner.
iii. The winner must fulfil all eligibility criteria (See 4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS)

2.3 COMING TO AIR

Winners' first names and hometown may be announced on Absolute Radio.

3. ENTRY PERIOD

Entries for the online competition will be open from 07:00 on Monday 09 November 2020 (the “start date”) until 23:59 on Monday 30 November 2020 (the “end date”).

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Entrants to the on-air and the online competition must fulfil the specific terms and conditions mentioned below, in addition to Bauer Media’s Competition General Terms & Condition:

ii. Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

iii. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

iv. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

v. If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand (see iv below) to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. Winning the on-air competition will trigger this condition for the online competition.

ii. The prizes linked to future dates are subject to change depending on availability of prizes from suppliers.
iii. If a prize is unavailable at the time of fulfilment, either the prize's cash equivalent or an alternative prize of the same value will be awarded to the winner instead. The value of a prize and whether a cash equivalent will be offered instead is decided upon by the Absolute Radio and Bauer Media production teams.
iv. Winners must fulfil all eligibility and entry terms and conditions.
v. Any prize money will be sent to each winner as a bank transfer or as a cheque.
vi. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no alternative will be offered.

6. OTHER CONDITIONS

6.1 DATA PROTECTION.
Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 6.2 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.
By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

6.3 MISCELLANEOUS.
i. Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
ii. Participants may only enter once
iii. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
iv. The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.
v. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
vi. You are responsible for all costs of entry.
vii. You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
viii. Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

2.1 HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS

2.1.1 Pre-Registration
i. Anyone interested in playing the on-air game must register their interest on the online competition page which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to Section 1 for entry routes.
ii. Registering to play the on-air game does not provide any guarantee that you will play the on-air game or win a prize.

2.1.2 Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game
i. The Absolute Radio production team will draw a shortlist of potential contestants at random from the pre-registered entries.
ii. The Absolute Radio production team will contact you to check your suitability, eligibility and availability to play the on-air game.
iii. Being contacted does not guarantee you will play the on-air game.
iv. Being invited to play the on-air game does not guarantee you will win a prize or prizes.
v. If you have been selected to play the on-air game, you must be contactable on the phone number you provided and, on the time and date agreed with the Absolute Radio production team.
vi. The Absolute Radio production team reserve the right to choose another contestant from the shortlist if they are unable to contact you.

2.1.3 The competition will air during the Hometime Show (“the Show”) with Bush & Richie (“the presenters”) between 1600 and 1900, Monday to Friday during the competition period.

i. Prior to joining Bush and Richie on air to play the on-air game, the contestant will be asked to choose a prize list. e.g. Prize List 1 or Prize List 2. The contestant will not be told what prizes are contained on each list.
ii. The contestant will then join Bush and Richie on air and the the on-air game will start.
iii. For each prize from the list that is revealed, the contestant can choose to say ‘More’ or ‘Stop’.
iv. If they say ‘More’, another prize will be revealed.
v. If they say ‘Stop’, the contestant will claim all the prizes that have been revealed up until that point in the game.
vi. If at any point during the on-air game, the ‘buzzer’ or ‘gong’ sounds before the contestant says ‘Stop’, the game will end and the contestant will not win any prizes.
vii. The game ends when the buzzer or gong sounds, or the contestant says ‘Stop’ whichever comes first.
viii. Refer to Section 5 – Prizes for more information about how the prizes that have been won will be awarded to the winner.

2.2 HOW TO WIN

i. The contestant will win all prizes revealed up until the point in the game when the contestant says ‘Stop’ and before the buzzer sounds.
ii. The contestant will not win anything if they do not stop the game before the buzzer sounds.

5. THE PRIZE

i. The total value of prizes available to win during the competition period is £20,000. Refer to Section 2 for details of how the on-air competition works and how to win.

ii. The prizes revealed during the on-air game could be anything. For example, technology and gadgets, cash and vouchers.

a. Cash will be awarded as cheque or bank transfer.
b. For novelty items listed as prizes, the cash equivalent will be paid to the winner along with any cash prize, in the form of a cheque or bank transfer. For example, if ‘20GB of data from Tesco Mobile’ is included as one of the prizes in the list, rather than data, we will award the cash value of the data from Tesco Mobile. The cash value of any prize is determined by the Absolute Radio production team which includes members of the Bauer Media production team as based on the information available in the public arena at the point of prize fulfilment.
c. Technology and gadgets and other items that can be purchased directly, will be sent directly to the winner’s home address using a known third-party provider. E.g. Currys PC World or Amazon.
d. Vouchers will be sent either by email or post.
e. If we are unable to source a prize as described during the on-air game, the cash equivalent will be awarded instead.

iii. Each daily winner must fulfil all eligibility and entry terms and conditions.
iv. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no alternative will be offered.
