Halifax AIP & default

Hi all,
Found a house we like for £275,000, looking for mortgage 85% LTV.
Partner has default from Jan 2018, satisfied March 2018. For £1400.
I earn 27500, he earns 27000.
Halifax have granted us an AIP... but I am suspicious given the default.
Any mortgage advisors know how likely it would to go through given the AIP being accepted?
TIA!!
