I wish I had known from the outset of my life that nature and wildlife are my true passion. That a quiet life is more suited to my nature.........

ha ha......hindsight is a wonderful thing. Lol.But take heart it is never too late to make a fresh start, and you are never too old to reinvent yourself. Look at how often the likes of Kylie, Cher and Madonna make changes, not just to their appearance but to their music, art, films etc. They continually evolve and grow.As for mistakes.......of course. But in the words of Frank Sinatra..."regrets, I have a few, but then again, too few to mention". 😂🤣. Although in my case I've made hundreds of mistakes, some of them whoppers. lol. But there's nothing I would really change. Every mistake is a life lesson learned and just adds to our knowledge and wisdom.I just continue to evolve, always learning, always growing.Bala.....take your new found insight and run with it. Take the opportunity to shape your life as you want it to be,8

I wish I'd known when I was much younger and worried about what people were thinking about me, how seldom they actually did.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I wish I was only as "fat" , as the first time I ever thought I was fat 🤣🤣🤣"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I wish I had known that although the Jones's have lots of designer 'stuff' and flashy cars they often also secretly have mounting debts and money worries (so it's really not worth trying to keep up with them).
Fitting in is not about the stuff you own or car you drive and if the people you want to fit in with think it is then they are the wrong people. Took me a while to realise this.13 -
I wish I had known that it is perfectly ok to just have a job and not worry about aspiring to move on up the ladder alongside my peers.
This knowledge would have saved me years of stress!!Been around since 2008 but somehow my profile was deleted!!!11 -
There is something wonderful about getting older and the proverbial penny dropping. Something wonderful about understanding yourself. I am just on this journey now.............AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo

I wish I had known how bad my health would be as I got older and had done all those things I didn't have the money for as I was saving for the future.

I suspect I'm now known as the potty old dog woman around the village (dressed accordingly, usually covered in leaves and mud where I've been dragged through the hedges). Do I care - not a jot! I've decided that I haven't got enough life left to worry what people think or, indeed, to spend time with people I don't actually like. It is wonderfully liberating.11 -
Yes, Jamanda
It has taken me my whole life to realise that I am an Extrovert/Introvert (or something like that). I appear confident on the outside but really I am a quivering wreck inside. Being able to say to myself that it doesn't matter what people think has allowed me to relax for the first time. I am feeling really grateful for this period of my life. I love getting older. Except for the creaking bones etc.
Well done on the 'potty old dog woman'. Am sure that's how I'm seen but I have added crows and foxes to my menagerie.....................I just don't 'walk' them' !
I wanted this thread to be about reflection. And it is............
