Haven't checked in for a while but still moving in the right direction which is great, another two lots of payments off the Tesco CC have taken it down to £1677 so not long till its gone, I have also over paid the loan a couple more times and I'm now at £5898. I was lining up another overpayment this month but we are off to York and Northumberland for a family holiday at the end of May (Covid allowing) and I have car insurance coming so think it would be wise to hold a little back until I know where I stand with bills and spending money. We are also making good progress with the house although endlessly frustrated with trades and how unreliable they are, new shed is done so we have lots more storage space and the Electrician has been in and fitted spotlights in the hallway as well as chasing in some external wiring as well as a couple of telephone line and exterior lighting bits so that's good!

You are making great progress on getting rid of the debt and I thoroughly agree with you on saving up for things and buying decent quality stuff.  My Dad always used to say buy it cheap, buy it twice unless as with your binoculars you got a good used pair.  Well done on managing to get some maintenance jobs done on the house at the same time without increasing debt.  You are in a good position re stable jobs so that is a massive bonus especially at the moment.

Thanks alot! Thanks to support from my wife we are in a position to get the jobs done to the house whilst I am hitting the debt hard and we count ourselves very lucky to be in stable jobs, especially in these times. Off to work now for my bank holiday shift!
