Eos solutions
Hi all, first time poster but lint time reader, I just wanted to share with you what happened yesterday when I got back from work. I got the mail and one of these letters was from a company called eos solutions who were demanding £759 from a welcome finance debt which i know was fully paid back. This debt was paid off using a debt management plan as i had a few debts, took a while but every pound was paid back and I kept the final statement which I eventually found after dealing with eos. Anyhow I phoned them up and was astounded at there level of incompetence, because this is not my first time dealing with debt and thanks to this forum I learned over the years. The lady who answered didn’t have anything in way of original credit agreement or anything, I then told her I had spoken to ombudsman abs asked what date this debt was taken out, she informed me 2005 and I asked if this was enforceable? As ombudsman advised me of old debts, she got a little nervous and put me on hold to talk to her manager, 2 mins later she took me off hold and advised me they will close the matter and debt and apologised. I found the proof that debt was paid back fully today in my old files, moral is don’t let eos solutions bully you, they have inaccurate books bought off welcome finance insolvency and are bullying people to pay debts which are not enforceable or incorrect, check with financial ombudsman but if the debt is 10 years or more it’s not enforceable and these clowns will just close the matter. More angry as they are hoping people will panic and hand over cash no questions asked, question everything if you get a letter from these clowns and check in with the ombudsman for more advice.

It's a question of whether the debt is still enforceable or not.0 -
Six years is the limitation period, all debt collectors work that way, none of them know anything of the accounts past, unless you query it, and they obtain information from the original creditor.
You don’t need to involve the FOS at such an early stage, a simple provit letter is the way forward as explained in great detail in the sticky post on DFW.
