PPI: Anyone been to Court yet?

I see that quite a few lucky peeps on here have managed to reclaim their PPI through just sending the template letters, some without even having to write to their banks at all! Anyway, I've hit a brick wall with the Halifax and I'm now convinced that Court will be the only way to settle this issue.
Has anyone else actually gone to court over PPI? With my bank charges, I had to make applications in respect of both the Halifax and Nationwide charges and felt comfortable in taking that action (both cases being settles before the court date), however, I've not heard of too many people getting to the Court stage with PPI reclaims.
Has anyone got that far yet?

Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Bathgate,
I take it you're unable to take them to the FOS? I think it's stuff before their judgement in '04 is it that is the cut off, even if unable why not send the 2nd letter or have you been through all this as well? Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
I'm now on my 3rd letter with them for a credit card taken out in May 01. Their 1st response was ridiculous illiterate nonsense, the second was their 'full and final' which enclosed a copy of a 'CCA' which was actually an application form that isn't in my handwriting, and I've since went back to them by emailing their Chief Exec and giving him a week to give me a refund or I take their dodgy document and them through the legal system!!!
Suffice to say, I'm totally outraged by them and quite willing to stand in court and say, "This is the way they've treated me" for all to see. However, there doesn't appear to be too many people getting to the court stage and a bit of a lack of info available out there so would be great if there are people out there who have managed to get through this process.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
