I had a couple of deductions of this sort made last time I worked in a shop, I did not kick up at the time although I knew they were illegal deductions without my written consent.They were even daft enough to itemise these deductions on my pay slip. When I left I put a requirement for a refund of these thefts into my resignation letter stating I would not hesitate to take 'the appropriate remedial action' if I was not refunded.. They were refunded in cash via an envelope pushed through my home letter box the same day...1
