I'd complain, if it's worth ranting about it's gotta be worth chasing up with people who might be able to change something?

If there’s a genuine problem then everyone will have the same issue, they’ll get no documents, and (hopefully) contact everyone.

if it’s just you they’ll probably just assume you pulled out. What is the issue you are having? I do a reasonable amount of scanning to online for my job and three hours would be a full book.

The requirements are that you have to upload a document to prove your immigration status (eg passport) and another document to validate your address. It gives a list of documents you can choose from, but then you upload one and the form then asks to upload even more. It stops at five. I don't actually have 5 documents. I uploaded bogus pdf's just to check when it would stop and then I delete my application. I would assume all my fellow candidates will have the same problem. Not having a way to provide feedback really paints a terrible image of this company.
You've already said you 'can't be bothered' to make a complaint, so this thread says far more about you than the company.

If this is second stage then surely you were given contact details of someone when you passed the first stage?
I also suspect this is user error as these sort of job application websites are all pretty much standard and have the same functionality.

With regards to the user error, if I am asked to upload ONE document out of 5, but then the form won't allow me to progress further unless I have uploaded all of them, how can it be user error?
Just upload the same doc 5 times....
Thanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada

Just spent three solid hours scanning and uploading documents for the second stage of an online application. There was a technical problem uploading the files. The HR/Recruitment department cannot be contacted via either email or phone (email address starts with noreply@). Had to abandon the application and it will probably look bad on me in the future. Could make a complaint but I'm not bothered. Grrrrr!
Why would it automatically be a complaint? Why not a query?
What company is it? I'm guessing you have googgled to get contact details but maybe one of us can you then from Google if you can't find it?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

The first stage was an online test and the second stage just a request to upload documents. I guess they don't do one 2 one assessments due to the pandemic.

The reason why i think user error is that if apparently took you three hours to scan and upload just one document.   It seems you aren’t very tech savvy so I suspect you may have missed something.

Can you ask a friend to help you?
  • You must know who you are applying to. Just use the contact details on their website and say you need to speak with HR. Very easily sorted.
