Furlough help

ive just recently changed jobs,tomorrow will be the start of my 3rd week,if my store closes with the new lockdown,will I be able to claim furlough with them,if not would I have to claim universal credit

    Furlough is voluntary and upto the employer. 

    In effect you can be sacked with no other effects. Any reasonably sensible employer would at least consider that option.

    You can't claim furlough yourself. For your employer to be able to furlough you then your employer must have submitted the RTI to HMRC by 30th October. If you haven't yet received your first pay then your employer won't be able to furlough you.
