Morrison's 10% off for all school staff from Monday 2nd November

From tomorrow, Morrison's are extending their 10% for NHS staff to ALL staff that work in a school or college, regardless of type of school. Article here.

You need to take your school ID photo badge to get it.

Has anyone tried to get the discount at Morrisons without photo ID badge. I am midday supervisor at school so don't have photo ID. Don't want the embarrassment of asking at the till.
I have emailed Morrisons 2 weeks ago. They haven't replied.

Can you not ask the school to provide you with a photo id badge?
From what I have read online it is a requirement to get the discount - how they interpret that at the tills is another matter.

None of the middays or cooks have photo ID and have worked there a long time. They had to cancel the school photographer for covid reasons so I hardly see them getting this done before Christmas just so we can have a 10% discount. There are lots low paid school staff in schools like me that miss out on this sort of offer.

Could you take in a payslip as proof or a letter from the school ?

Shop at Aldi or Lidl - you will save more than 10% - just an alternative?

I do. Love Lidl with its new app and offers. Just fancied a trip to get a few Christmas treats.

They say u need photo ID. I could try with a payslip and my driving licence but don't want to have to explain myself if till assistant questions it

Before you start putting items in your basket/trolley ask at the customer service desk.  I would expect that if OK they could let till operator know.
