Will we be able to complete? Lockdown looming

Hi guys. We are due to complete on 13th November. Basically our house has already been signed off by NHBC yesterday, Friday and our developer said it’s up to our solicitors now to process the rest. Say if the lockdown is imposed next week will we still be able to complete on the 13th? Our mortgage offer will expire on the 21st so we hope that even if there’s a lockdown we can still complete. We really hope that we don’t need to apply for a new mortgage anymore. Please advise. Help.

What happened with the initial lockdown is those who had exchanged contracts were priority to get mortgage funds released.
As your purchase has been signed off as good to sell / warranties etc it should, in theory, just be a case of your solicitor double checking your file to make sure everything is ready, then requesting funds from your lender.
I'm assuming your solicitor has done all the searches and enquiries and was just waiting for NHBC.
If it's any reassurance, I completed my purchase about 5 weeks into when lockdown first started and I needed an extension to my mortgage offer due to those who had exchanged contracts being priority. Mine was an old property.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
You should be able to complete, the building has been signed off and all works completed I assume?
So from here on, everything else (I assume) can be completed remotely. The solicitors we use are working from home and have been for months.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
