I know this has been asked before and I've also been trying to read through the council tax leaflets trying to work it all out, but I'm slightly baffled. My girlfriend and I (who are both working) will be sharing a flat with two students. Will we get a discount...? Realy hope someone can help. Thanks!

Nope, unless you're on a very low income.0

Hmmm...quite low... . I thought that living with students would somehow affect the council tax bill. Is that not right...?0

They don't have to pay. You do.0

*sigh* okay, thank you very much for your help

I think that's the problem when non students share with students. It works out more expensive, but the students, who do not have to pay, are not going to be willing to help pay the bill.
At least you can split it with your girlfriend.0
