Don`t believe the hype.MrsStepford said:If you get an offer, jump at it. Civil Service World reported today that HMRC staff are getting a 13% payrise over 3 years.
The only people getting a 13% payrise are existing members of staff (and for some of them only part of the payrise is consolidated (counts towards your pension, the rest is paid as lump sums)).
If you are a new starter you will start at a specific point on the payscale and thats it - there is no pay progression.
Of course it depends on the two unions involved (PCS and ARC) voting to accept the pay offer, if either votes NOT to accept there is no pay deal and its back to the Goverments offer to the whole of the Civil Service ( 2% this year £250 next year only if your earning less than £24k).

Hopefully they get in touch soon, I’ve never experienced such a long recruitment process before with know way of contacting them other than email.0

I emailed them to see if there was any updates however just got the same standard email stating they are still waiting on confirmation of start dates and they would be in touch when they have any updates, so seems like it hasn't moved forward much which isn't great. Hopefully we actually hear eventually but doesn't seem like its going to be very fast moving.0

Congratulations on your orders! Which locations are you guys in for? I asked for a reserve list update recently and am in a good position, so I'm hoping that if they haven't fully processed the first lot of provisional offers and not everyone takes it up I might still be in with a shot!

I will in Edinburgh, it has taken roughly 6 weeks since my preemployment checks completed but got a start date for March so hopefully things are moving along for everyone else as well in other locations.1

The HMRC pay rise won't apply to new starters but the t&cs will.
More holidays up to 30 days after 5 years, contractual flexi time and official working from home 2 days a week if you want to. Pay isnt great but its a good package with a lot of security. Good luck with it.1 -
I applied for one of the HMRC customer consultant roles and completed the Video Interview in the middle of December. Still no results/feedback.0

Just to let you know, the result for the pay reform ballot is in and it was a resounding yes from both Unions
