They have a message saying "How about free fees then?". It is the packaged account which you pay £8 a month for. You get a £100 overdraft subject to status but it says the account is available to everyone. This is blatantly not true. You may not pass the credit score or, due to your employment status, may have to got for a normal or basic account. Charges still apply on these accounts. It only says the overdraft is subject to status and not the account.

I find it strange that a Bank can charge you £96/yr for a current account in this day and age, are they in a time warp?
Cahoot give a £250 interest/fee free overdraft, and they have a decent interest rate on your balance. And of course they don't charge you for setting up or cancelling direct debits!

The weirdest one I have heard is that a colleague in work pays £200 per quarter for his credit card (yes £800 per year). I tried explaining interest free credit cards that don't cost anything etc. etc. ... it took him a while to convince me but (apparently) he is in a situation where that is beneficial to him.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
