BROKERS - What are my chances? Fixed Term Contract

I have an appointment booked with a local broker on Monday, but want to know what I should realistically expect.

Current situation - I have secured a fixed term contract (12 months) as a teacher, and I am currently 4 months into this contract . My other half is in the same position and works as a cleaner.

I spent the last 12 months training to become a teacher and was in receipt of a government bursary. Prior to this I was a university student (3 years).

My other half is fortunate to own a hotel which is currently on the market. We have had an offer and want to put a sizeable deposit towards a new home (£80k). We are hoping to get a mortgage for another £80-100k but are not sure of our chances seeing as we do not have an employment history nor do we have a permanent contract between us. Any brokers out there dealt with a similar situation?
