Broker for Adverse Credit Mortgages

Options
Hi everyone. I just wondered if anyone here could recommend a mortgage broker who may be able to help with an adverse credit mortgage. I have tried a few of the larger brokers but, while they tell me they can probably help, they aren’t very forthcoming with it. Any recommendations would be gratefully received. I’m in the Yorkshire area if that makes a difference. Thank you.

I used @ACG for my purchase, as have some others who use MSE. Couldn't fault anything he did and I wouldn't be sitting here in my own home if it wasn't for him.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

You need to read the posting rules Mark. The brokers who post here cannot self advertise and have to use a signature. While posters can pm us for representation we cannot approach people and putting your phone number is a no no
  • Hi op
    What is the adverse?
Many of us who post here are independent brokers and we are identifiable by our signatures. We are not allowed to approach posters but most of us are happy to respond to pm's asking for help. You can look at our posting history to see who you feel is a good fit for you.

What adverse do you have? Defaults/CCJs/Bankruptcy?
    When was it registered?
What percentage deposit do you have?

We can usually give you an idea if there are options out there in the current climate. Although I do know there is going to be some good news from a lender next week which is going to open the market up quite a bit and might get a couple of other lenders making some positive changes, so even if it is something that cant be placed now - give it 2-3 weeks and it may be a different answer.

Hi there sorry to jump on someone else post but me and my partner are hoping to get a mortgage in next couple of months. We have adverse well I do. My partner doesn't.Both our credit scores on all 3 are on fair. I have 1 ccj from 2016 settled July this year for a credit card 3.4 k and 1 default for 2.5k settled 2019. However the ccj is showing on all 3 but the default only showing on equifax.Husband been in current job for 3 months as he was furloughed in april but they had to get rid of him in july but managed to get a job straight away so no employment gaps. He was at last job for only 9 months before that I was employed for about 7 years in same job. Only one of can work as we have a disabled child. So was hoping to apply in jan for a mortgage when partner had been in current job for 6 months but only 15 months work history. Anyway we have a 15% deposit upto now . We dont know if we need more or not but the other day I went on Halifax website and said it would do a soft search to apply for an aip. We passed that and it gave us one with a 15% deposit.  Dont know if we have chance or not but scared of being declined if we put a full application in. I might see a mortgage broker before we apply as I dont think it will pass at full app. I dont have any debt although I did but I have paid it all off and I have had a few credit cards over the years . Husband has also a few but only owes on 1. Since the ccj I dont have any missed or late payments and neither does my husband. I just think the adverse is going to spoil things with halifax. Do you think I need a broker to get a bad credit mortgage or should I go along with the halifax one? Dont know what to do as dont want to get my Hope up and then they decline us. We have seen a house that we like we are both first time buyers. Just wondering if there are any brokers who could perhaps advise us or do you think it might go through with Halifax?
