paper free Halifax mortgage

Hi there 
I'm having new mortgage with Halifax, but no accounts or...only mortgage, having downloaded Halifax app on my mobile and I can see all details of my mortgage on the app, but for some reason won't allowing me to go paperless, (( I would like to have my yearly statements and everything on line)). I think some sort of legal or compliance thing, they have to send out at least an annual statement by post. 
My bank accounts are paperless but I still get a paper statement once a year.
