  • Great news on the offer!  Hope it all goes through for you!
  • So had GKs Thursday and Friday at my daughters , had couple of nights of and back again at hours on Monday just back from the 3hr round trip to drop them off, reward is I get to get up at 4 am next 2 days and go to work for 12hrs 😭😭 GS is back on Xmas day for another 2 nights, it feels crazy but it is due to the extra shifts DD is doing at the care home due to the staff shortage.

Had a bit of a nightmare with the online Pet Med company, there was an issue with the prescription and they emailed to say so but not what the issue was .... couldn’t get through on the phone or get a response to emails, I got a very rude response today and told I could not get anything until the New Year now and we are nearly out so have got more from vets and told them to cancel the order and refund me the £100 pounds they had taken despite not having dispatched the order 😤

Will be fairly quiet Xmas but I am off Boxing Day so that will be my Xmas day 😂😂
Listening to news just now about tier 4 and the lorries stick at Dover !! Although it seems we may be getting a deal for Brexit which I am glad about, I was not for Brexit but once it was voted for I would not have wanted us to leave with No deal on top of the Covid chaos and the resulting economic carnage just wait for the formal announcement 🤞

Stay Safe my Debt busting friends and try and have as good a Xmas as you can 🎅

HI thanks for asking, we accepted the offer and instructed solicitors but that was literally the last days before most closed for the holidays so nothing replay happened beyond that, not sure how new total lockdown will impact things but hope for the best prepare for the worst 😁

If anything I imagine it will be their mortgage offer if they go back on to furlough that could cause an issue for them. But fingers crossed it keeps going.

  • Been a little while since I last updated.........
    Updated figures as follows
    Credit Card 1134.99 was 1594
    Car loan 2474.04 was 3682
    Mortgage 156.972.30 Was 160.000.00
Making steady progress and was on course to be within overdraft and make some small extra payments however my poor old dog needed another unexpected trip to the vets which was another bill for just short of £200 pounds however after that is paid I will still close to staying out of the overdraft. Really need to build up an emergency fund for these type of things.
Payday comes this week so will find out if I have got my payment for working over Xmas. I really hope so as I am keen to put it to use. Will be around £500 so still trying to decide whether to make that the emergency fund,  pay it to the card which together with the regular month payment would take it down to about £470 or put it towards car loan which takes it below the 2k Mark and has interest payable although not a huge amount. Decision to be made , assuming I get it through should find out tomorrow.
House sale news is that it is pretty quiet waiting on searches however no news is good news as a few near where I am have went back on the market with people pulling out so I am grateful it is still progressing.
Managed to do quite a bit of running this month, managed a half marathon last week, first time in about 2 years I have ran that far. Today is day 2 of 28 days of healthy eating need to lose some weight as my knees are complaining with the extra weight I am trying to run around with, have about 3 stone to lose.
Hope everyone is coping okay in the current situation
    Stay safe folks

  • Just a quick check in, no updates on my totals as yet as this months payments not taken yet. As I suspected I did not get my Xmas payment this month however managed to sort it out and will now get it in next pay in 2 weeks time. Working most of next 2 weeks so that should leave little opportunity for spending and this month has went quite well so I'm hoping to have something extra at end of month to throw at it providing no unexpected bills. Searches back on the house so it continues to inch forward.
    Hope everyone is doing okay
    Take care folks
  • Been a while since I last updated life has been busy and somewhat stressful with non debt related issues, these will hopefully improve soon.
On the debt front the totals are as follows -
Credit Card was 1134.99 now 960.00
Car Loan was 2474.04 now 2171.40
Back in October 27th car was at 3682 and credit card 1594 so decent progress in 4 months of 2145 cleared.
Positive news on the debt clearing front is that I have stayed out of the overdraft and with 24hrs until my salary comes in I have £400 left so that will go straight to the credit card. In addition the extra payment for working Christmas is confirmed as being paid this month so that is an extra £650 that together with the 400 left over will clear the credit card.
I intend to pay 170 to the car to take it down to 2000. I will pay the 165 that was going to the card on top of the car payment so that would be 500 a month and see it cleared by June.
House sale continues to progress and we have had an offer accepted on another property, if it all goes through I will reduce my mortgage balance by roughly 35%. Council tax will also reduce and as I will no longer have weekly round trip to my daughter's fuel bill will reduce too.
So overall a positive picture on the debt front. Can't wait until Friday to get that credit card gone !!

    Stay safe
