Junior Sipp fund

Dear all,
I have taken the plunge and opened a junior sipp for my child which I want to pay into every year. I am rather bamboozled by the range of funds available. I am looking for 1 or max 2 funds with a low charge which I can leave. I was initially looking at the VLS funds but wonder if they are not diversified enough. Anyone have any thoughts about the fidelity index world fund p accumulation or have any other suggestions?
many thanks
David

Any of the global all equity index funds would be ok, in my opinion. The Fidelity World Index fund is a good/consistent performer (as you would expect).
If you don't hold the SIPP with Fidelity I would suggest you move it there, as they have recently removed platform and transaction charges for the junior products. The same for JISA.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

yes, I have opened the junior sipp with fidelity. Are there any major differences between the different funds suggested?0 -
Hello,
any thoughts on the above?
thank you0 -
In my view the differences between the various global trackers are only important to investment geeks or to people with large investment pots where + or - 1% could represent a serious amount of money. In any case for the first 5-10 years the value of your child's junior SIPP will be mainly driven by the size of your annual contributions rather than the investment return.dwhl said:many thanks all many thanks all.

As mentioned they are all very close in performance. Have a look at a sample of some mentioned and a couple of Vanguard ones for reference:dwhl said:Are there any major differences between the different funds suggested?
Please note, the Vanguard funds are slightly different to the others listed as they are 'All World' so mirror a slightly different index to the HSBC OIEC and ETF.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
