Junior Sipp fund

Dear all,
I have taken the plunge and opened a junior sipp for my child which I want to pay into every year.  I am rather bamboozled by the range of funds available. I am looking for 1 or max 2 funds with a low charge which I can leave.  I was initially looking at the VLS funds but wonder if they are not diversified enough.  Anyone have any thoughts about the fidelity index world fund p accumulation or have any other suggestions?
many thanks
David

Any of the global all equity index funds would be ok, in my opinion.  The Fidelity World Index fund is a good/consistent performer (as you would expect).

If you don't hold the SIPP with Fidelity I would suggest you move it there, as they have recently removed platform and transaction charges for the junior products.  The same for JISA.

yes, I have opened the junior sipp with fidelity.  Are there any major differences between the different funds suggested?

In my view the differences between the various global trackers are only important to investment geeks or to people with large investment pots where + or - 1% could represent a serious amount of money.  In any case for the first 5-10 years the value of your child's junior SIPP will be mainly driven by the size of your annual contributions rather than the investment return.

As mentioned they are all very close in performance.  Have a look at a sample of some mentioned and a couple of Vanguard ones for reference:

Please note, the Vanguard funds are slightly different to the others listed as they are 'All World' so mirror a slightly different index to the HSBC OIEC and ETF.
