So I recently found out my partner was in debt and was in behind on a few payments it turns out he can’t get a mortgage for 6 year now due to this.
We are looking at splitting up where I hope to get my own mortgage (our current mortgage is in joint name).
Because of his loans credit cards etc effecting his future mortgage would this also effect mine that I take out on my own due to the address been the same?

It's very unlikely he can't get a mortgage for 6 years.

And his situation will only impact you if you're financially associated, as in through the mortgage.  You'll want to disassociate once those ties are severed.

@Deleted_User he’s been told off of the debt management company that it has now effected his credit raising for the next 6 year so will struggle to get a mortgage. The mortgage has always been paid it’s just his own credit cards/loans what he’s not paid so i didn’t know if it would affect my mortgage due to the same address when I find somewhere else to live

It will impact his credit files for 6 years.  That's not the same as not getting a mortgage. If he's being told that, he needs to get better advice and use a decent broker.

Credit files aren't linked by front doors. Just by financial products.

@Deleted_User so it won’t effect me getting my own mortgage & the cost of my mortgage in the future?

Correct, if your not financially linked then you will be fine.
