We had our offer accepted on a no chain house on the 26/8.
We’ve had the valuation & mortgage offer within this time but the vendors solicitor has still not send the first contract pack.
it was not until 8 weeks into the process the vendors solicitors told the vendors they needed the title deeds from Abby National/Santander.. has anyone been in this position? How long does it take Santander to process and send out?
we are now in a hurry since we have been given notice On the current rental.. we have 5 weeks to either tie into a rental agreement or exchange (at the least) but we still have the searches & exchange to take place and Stressing since I don’t know if we can do this within 5 weeks.

5 weeks will be tight for the most proactive vendors/solicitors, seeing as its taken this long for the vendor not to of filled in the contract paperwork I would be looking to extending your current rental contract another month.
I wouldn't of given notice on a rental until exchange of contracts - as you may find yourself homeless.0 -
To clarify you have been served notice by the landlord? Or you have given notice that you will lead?If the former which your post seems to say you do not need to sign a new rental agreement, the tenancy will continue as a periodic tenancy at the end of the fixed term (whether contractual or statutory). The agents/landlord are lying if they say you do.If you have just been given notice (assume Section 21) this has to give you 6 months notice - so no rush!0
